Many people do not get enough fruits and veggies in during their day. This may be from not liking the taste of them, not having them on hand, or even just forgetting to eat fruits and vegetables. Growing your own vegetables during the Spring and Summer is a very easy, affordable project for people that enjoy eating fresh produce. Tomatoes, squash, zucchini, green beans, and cucumbers are all common veggies that can be grown in the most minimalistic type of garden. All you need are some seeds from Home Depot or any type of garden shop near you, some dirt and water, and a place to garden. After planting your seeds just make sure they get sun and water and wait a few weeks for some fresh vegetables. You can combine them all and make a salad or grill them in a grill basket with some chicken. There are many different ways to cook veggies and season them, so they are are enjoyable for you.
During the warmer days fruit is a very refreshing snack to eat. Combine a banana, strawberries, and some blueberries with some chia seeds makes for a perfect smoothie to cool you down. Cut up a watermelon or pineapple to eat by the pool or even just in your backyard. Fruits have a lot of healthy vitamins and nutrients that are great for your body and a perfect snack.
